Clear

I reflected back on when my wife treated me to go on a cruise with her for 9 days around New Caledonia, Vanuatu and outer Islands.I was so negative about the whole venture leading up to the day we boarded the P&O Cruise ship. I was afraid that I might not handle been out at sea and not been able to see land. Basically getting sea sick.
But wow what an experience. I am so grateful my wife was persistent. It was a trip of a life time.It was like been on a moving hotel. Great food, night entertainment, make new friends and visit some beautiful Islands and just chill out.

When we stopped in at Port Villa in Vanuatu it was an experience once we were on the wharf there was so much yelling, all the locals were trying so hard to get you to go with their taxi. Once we found us a driver we were off to check out the scenes.

The whole time on the cruise all I really wanted to do was play squash. We weren’t able to find a squash court there. But l found one later during the cruise in Noumea. The people there were welcoming and had beautiful big white smiles. I got to hold my very first live snake. (python) A another beautiful tropical island. I enjoyed their culture.

A little bit of information about Vanuatu.
Port Vila is the trading centre and capital of Vanuatu. It’s perfectly located around a beautiful harbour on the south-western coast of the island of Efate. Here you’ll find a mix of cultures – Melanesian (Indigenous Ni-Vanuatu), French, English, Chinese and many others.
Population 46,000, Language English, Bislama and French,
Government Parliamentary,Republic, Currency Vatu.

We plan to go again another cruise in the near future.
